Sad Songs for Lovers and Friends

The sky is turning grey 
and your breaking my heart in a certain way
I just cant help but remember the days 
where everything was just simple and plain

Everybody's singing about how they're in love or fallen out of love or heart broken, or how amazing the party was/is going to be. Why can't there be more songs about losing friends, how they fly off to certain countries or how friendships change because people just drift apart. I'm not looking for anything mushy. Just something that feels real.

    If song writers should write about sad things, they should write about the discomfort of an empty refrigerator or a wallet with insufficient money to satisfy your palate's cravings. Or maybe that's just me. =))

    We should write songs about our adventures of love, lost love, long distance friendships and brokenness and hope and joy and all the awesome things!
